The Role


The Energy and Sustainability Services Manager will work within this environment selling and consulting to both large and multinational organisations in order to help them adopt FlexiDAO’s offerings to execute their RE Journey strategy.

The role will operate along-side our team of sales, pre-sales and delivery specialists. Successful candidates will be expected to hold managerial level engagements within these target organisations, focus on solutions within the domains of sustainability consultancy (SBTi, CDP, GHG, ESG, TCFD etc), cleantech, energy management and procurement. Successful candidates are not only required to possess strong sales hunting and nurturing capabilities, but also manage the post-sale customer relationship in collaboration with the delivery and product team to ensure the integration and adoption of FlexiDAO’s software into the customer’s strategy, operating models and processes to deliver its energy consumption decarbonization strategy.

Job Requirements


  • 3 to 5 years of client facing experience successfully selling and executing energy and sustainability related services into Fortune 500 companies.
  • Successful lead generation through network and warm contacts.
  • Proven track record in evangelistic sales: value proposition not obvious, brand not established, educating the market.
  • Ability to deeply engage clients, identify and deliver insightful questions and tactfully challenge client assumptions and ideas.
  • Deep understanding of energy related environmental sustainability standards (SBTi, CDP, GHG, ESG, TCFD etc), best practices, trends, innovation, and solutions.

The Person

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership, communication and negotiation skills are required.
  • A track record of solving complex business issues and delivering client satisfaction.
  • Knowledge of corporate sustainability reporting standards and best practices for commercial and industrial markets.
  • Demonstrated experience in any of the following resource areas:

Energy: procurement, demand management, metering and monitoring, capital projects, audit, plant optimization, building systems and equipment

Renewables: PPA development, solar planning/installation/management, battery and storage, distributed energy resources, wind.

Carbon Accounting: Carbon accounting methodology and frameworks such as CPD, GRSB, and DJSI.

  • Familiarity with performance contracting and sustainability finance is a plus (budgets, CAPEX, OPEX and ROI).
  • Financial acumen, data driven; you are highly organized; you have excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work in distributed delivery environment, and foster collaborative teams to solve problems.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, including managing and prioritizing multiple responsibilities to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet financial targets and quotas.
  • Clear entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Comfortable with an extremely flexible working and selling style, driven by the continuous learnings and adaptations needed to improve the new product’s fit with the market's continued changes.
