Today, we are announcing our participation in a brand new 24/7 carbon-free energy pilot project in the Netherlands, which also counts with the participation of Microsoft and the energy provider Eneco.

‍

This project will match one of Microsoft’s data centers in Amsterdam and its hourly energy consumption with the Dutch offshore wind farm (Borssele 3 & 4). FlexiDAO's contribution as a software technology supplier, is to provide with tools that will enable the traceability of energy production and consumption.

For this project, Microsoft will be a flagship customer of the integrated 24/7 solution that will provide Eneco customers with access to FlexiDAO's 24/7 renewable energy matching tools at large scale.

This pilot project is our second one with EnergyTag, an independent, non-profit, industry-led initiative to define and build a market for hourly electricity certificates that enables energy users to verify the source of their electricity and carbon emissions in real-time.
