With about 11 GW of renewable capacity in operation and a target of 20 GW by 2025, ACCIONA Energía brings more than three decades of experience across the clean energy value chain. Recognized since 2015 among the world’s greenest utilities by Energy Intelligence, the company is now scaling large green hydrogen projects.
The goal was to provide customers and stakeholders with trusted, real-time proof that produced hydrogen is genuinely renewable, along with the data needed for credible reporting.
The Challenge
Green hydrogen producers must demonstrate that the electricity used is renewable at the right place and time, then maintain a transparent record through transportation and delivery. Data lives in many systems, verification standards are evolving, and investors expect a defensible chain of custody that stands up to regulatory scrutiny in the EU and beyond.

The Solution
ACCIONA Energía and Flexidao co-developed GreenH2chain®, a digital platform that verifies renewable origin, tracks logistics milestones, and exposes a full history of each hydrogen batch. Customers access live views of production, certificates, and movements, backed by documented evidence suitable for audits and disclosure.
